Humans in the future will look back at this year, if they ever chronicle TIME magazine, and find it either confusing or hilarious.

In 500 years, somewhere, there will be an article like this about how people pictured space in 2019, and how off the mark they were.

> it's 2024

Depends on which calendar. There is nothing more powerful than the human mind when it comes to distorting reality.

Reading articles like this makes me wonder, is there any "prediction" made by people today for, say, 100 years from now? I wonder how the future people would think about those "predictions" :)

Or, since I want to be alive to share the laugh, any prediction for year 2020-2050 made this year or last year?

2077 is gonna be a weird year. I jest but yeah.

I wonder what the future will say about the 2020's.

Could you imagine taking someone from 1960 into 2023 and showing them this headline? It would be shocking beyond belief.

Wonder what headlines we'll make fun of in 17 years?

Year 2023, they can even embed a nice video of this.

I hope this article is still available in 2030 so we can snigger at it.

This is a good time to present a reminder of how clueless most of us are about how the future will look in the present:

It's 2024. So what :P

The article itself is a confusing jumble of fiction, religion and tech though. I don't grok it.

Anyone else reading this article in 2022?

Obligatory xkcd: https://xkcd.com/2014/

2026? Probably not. 2021? I doubt it. My money is on 2023-24.

2105? I love posts from the future

It'll be 2027 before we know it

the date is a bit futuristic

Ahhh 2024, what a shitshow of a year that's going to be, especially at the end.

kind of adorable... whatever we imagine life to be like in the year 2100, chances are we'll look just as silly in retrospect as these illustrations

edit: gracias

In the year 2049, we might read the same headline but with a very different meaning.
