Yeah I get the gist. Post definitely resonated for me and I've never written anything that's totally on Facebook's platform, like Cow Clicker was.

I just noticed that this is the first Facebook post I ever read.

I posted it because of this discussion where many were wondering if only geeks were seeing all this stuff about FB or if "regular people" were also starting to catch on.

I love that I haven't used Facebook in so long I can't even picture what this means.

Being so zealously anti-Facebook as I am, I kept waiting for a Facebook punchline. Ah, I see you have risen above that and make a bigger point. Bravo.

Seems to me the wording was chosen to put Facebook as the first word for more clicks.

Sounds exactly like what FB would write. Thanks for the laugh!

Hah, I was just thinking the same thing. This was probably written in reaction to FB seeing that people are leaving FB en masse.

Sounds like that's exactly how Facebook wants you to feel.

Great post - who knew about this facebook thing :p

I have never heard of this as a slogan at Facebook and I have close ties there; this seems like someone venting emotionally.

It’s appropriate for Facebook too.

Yeah, exactly.

I like to think that Mark Zuckerberg read Joel's post and took it to heart.

But the pattern is super noticeable for FB, once you start paying attention.

I discovered this article through facebook.

I don't have a FB account, and this article was "open" to me.

This is quite excellent. The first concretely constructive post about the facebook login meme.

Well it seems obvious you're posting it just because it mentions FB.

Well, it's Facebook.

I got extremely detailed feedback from Facebook, so this isn't unheard of.
