> Google are terrible at support.

FTFY

> Google's support is the worst.

5 minutes later, the "technical writing manager on GCP", makes a helpful comment on this thread.

> Google's terrible reputation of poor and unreachable support

My experience is not the same for all the products I bought for Google.

It was really easy to contact support and replacement devices came quickly.

> This is what you expect from a crappy companies with outsourced customer support , not google.

I'd expect you to expect algorithmic customer support from Google.

>it's frustrating to know that you cannot easily contact anyone @ Google to ask for help.

This is completely normal for anything with Google.

> Unfortunately due to a lack of customer support posting here gives me the best chance of getting it fixed! > If google had working support flows I would not have written this up or posted here about it.

They do, you just have to pay for that privilege via Google One.

> Products that make google money that you have to pay for have some amazing support.

And yet, the best place to get support, even for Cloud customers – as has happened before – seems to be this very website, because the Google support just doesn’t care.

"they need to actually fix their user support"

Everyone knows about their customer service issues. Google must know it's a problem, but for some unknown reason (probably shareholder value) refuses to fix it.

They are never going to address their shitty customer service.

> It's so common, Google should put on their website: "If you need customer support, please try to create some outrage on social media. We do not provide other channels of customer support."

Lol this is really funny.

Sadly it's also true.

Google support

....

That’s the joke.

> Google have no interest in providing support

Could you offer arguments or anecdotes about why you think Google is terrible at support? Snarky, four-character comments like yours do not add much value to the discussion.

Well, that's actually not google support...

support and google in the same sentence do not go well together

> If they pay for Google Fi and Google Fiber then obviously they can contact customer support. There's a phone number and everything.

Hahahaha that's a funny take. I'm going to guess that you've never had the misfortune of needing to contact Google for support of their products.

I'm getting really tired of seeing this comment in every submission about Google. This and the annoying "Google support sucks!!" ignorant BS.

> I thought with their whole advertising of "24 hour support" they identified customer support as a weakness of theirs, and are trying to remedy it. Nope.

I'm very sorry you had that awful experience. I know it doesn't remedy your past experience, but please know myself and many other Googlers have been and still are putting a lot of work into the tools being used by the customer support reps around the globe to better help you.

> That Google doesn't provide support is a myth.

Try getting support for anything that's not G Suite or Project Fi (which have arguably good customer support). Sometimes the "support" is just a link to the forums.

Google is a company with a horrendous customer support history.

>only a paid for service can really expect paid support staff

Google makes more than enough money selling everyone's personal data via advertising to afford to provide customer service.

They simply choose not to.
