Their iPhone app is paid, so i assume their android version is...

Well, their app is on the iOS app store, so unless you imply they do something special for their Android app...

They said they're on Android.

Do they have a working android app yet?

They are still developing the Android version

They didn't wait for Apple's approval of the iOS app before releasing the Android app this time.

Oh. So no word on the Android app yet?

The Android version isn't. Its built with React Native.

There's a video with the Android app in the section Shipping an Android version.

Plingm does have an Android app, I wonder why the press release would hinder the network effect by saying it's iPhone-only.

I’m mostly referring to the macOS and iOS clients, since I’m not really familiar with the Android version.

There are multiple Android clients. I think in the past there was an iOS client, not sure what the current status is.

I wonder if they're still developing for Android, the site and article seem to imply so.

What, do they finally have a real Android app?

Do you have a source for this? Everything I'm finding suggests that the Android app is not native, and last time I used it (a couple months ago), it definitely didn't feel native, and performance was sub-par.

they have android as well

They didn't, it's fully featured. In some ways it's even better than the Android app, more beautifully designed. They mentioned in their blog they'll be bringing much the same to Android soon.

It is android.

They seem to be continuing to support Android and iOS. Their platform works great and they've continued to add features over the last year and in years prior.

They've been advertising to hire someone to do the Android app for a while, so I don't think they intend it to remain iPhone only.

But it looks likely it'll be only iPhone during their current invite-only phase.
