Since I didn't explicitly say it, I'm not okay with giving out browsing history and 100% stand behind privacy controls and laws that prevent this completely.
I claim my browsing history is confidential, the only difference is I don't have the government enforcing my wishes. On a moral level "stealing" one is the same as the other.
Under no circumstance do I want my browsing history being sent to a server. That's a pretty black and white issue being violated here. Extremely anti-user.
Sometimes just seeing what pages you open on a site is extremely revealing personal information. If what they were collecting wasn't meaningful they wouldn't be bothering to collect it.
A browser that first wants your email address, and then sends your entire browsing history to its maker. No thanks.

I know my browsing habits/history is not private, and I know I am being tracked, even though I use plugins to minimize that.
But having a marketing person send me a personalized email slapping me in the face with that tracking by explicitly telling me that they know what web page I visited on their site... that would be a pretty big turn off for me.
