Your comment would be more interesting and constructive if you you provided information (ideally with references) rather than asking rhetorical questions.

Could you please post a citation for this? I do not know if you are right or wrong, and it is not something I have considered before, but I would appreciate the opportunity to learn what arguments were made at the time.
(I'm curious as I know little of these kinds of things, and because citing sources or giving arguments is always a good thing)
