The answer lies deep down in your soul. No trick, no formula, no epiphany is going to save you. It's about you keeping promises you make to yourself. You know this. Wrestle with why you are unable to do it. That's your only salvation.

If you've convinced yourself you cannot succeed, you won't.

Give up right now. You won't be able to do it.

Isn't this a self-fulfilling prophecy? Giving up can't end in success.

Just keep reminding yourself that if you never try, you've already failed.

There is a lot that has been said in the comments and one thing I hope you can see is that your situation is not unique. Many of us have beaten it before, and many more will beat it again (including you) ... be encouraged in that.

In my case, I ascribe my escape to my unshakable faith in God and I'm not ashamed to say it. Without that, I'm 100% confident I would not be where I am today.

NEVER GIVE UP!

It is basically impossible. The best I can add is give up when you can live with yourself for giving up. If you can in hindsight say you gave your all and it didn't work then that is the time to give up.

Is it really a sacrifice if you promise yourself something impossible and then fail to make good on it?

That's so defeatist. How do you know unless you try? You are the one with the knowledge. Try!

Well, you will never know until you succeed or give up.

Giving up never makes sense. I still speak the truth.

There's no secret to it. You just have to doggedly keep at it.

I promised myself I'd try whatever I can. I'll give it a shot. Thank you.

I just keep reminding myself that for almost everything, the only way to fail is to give up. If I haven't given up yet, I haven't failed.

To me, this sounds like you’re deluding yourself. You’re convinced that each time you’ve given up was a good idea in hindsight? Is this the case sir?

Thanks for your answer.

The last thing I want is to give up again, sadly the more I try the more these thoughts come in to my head and the harder it is to throw them away.

There's no point. You'll never know until after it's already happened.

However, if you give up, you'll never know if you could have been. The struggle is what makes it so hard, but it's what makes it worth it in the end.

This proves one thing: you need to keep trying.

This is very familiar. There's nothing we can do except keep trying. Most of the time you don't even make any mistakes to learn from, you're just not one of the lucky ones.

When reality is broken or stubborn, there's nothing you can do. Suffer for long enough and it might turn around. That's the secret.
