They are exactly that, yuppy trailer parks

I've been there. It's a haul to get there, but it's basically like the parking lot of a permanent hippie music festival.

Sounds like a good place for them to me.

They are very scenic, affordable, and convenient.

Sounds great.

Now let's get some real gems like Hollister Ranch and Vickers Hot Springs opened up again.

thanks, they are awesome places ;)

Yeah, I love when a pack of them pull up beside a restaurant downtown when you are sitting outside. Really adds to the ambiance.

That sounds nice. I like that places like this exist.

There's also what looks like a perfectly lovely park a few blocks away

Looks like a great vacation rental opportunity.

Hollister Hills is one of the best off road parks I’ve ever been to. It’s fortunate to be located in NorCal where charging is more common.

Absolute paradise. Just nice tourists.

I hear Hammock Huts is a good place, also Hammocks-R-Us on third. And then theres Swing Low, Sweet Chariot...

Huh, that looks like exactly the place I'm looking for. Fantastic.

I think that’s a very apt comparison. It’s good too, since it means we’ll eventually get to quite a nice place.

Remember to bring lipstick as the trashed empty lots nearby serve as a great wild boar attraction to kiss and ride.

A lot of subdivisions here build around these as green spaces. They have jogging trails, planted trees, and some of em they also stock and you can fish within your neighborhood. It’s pretty neat.

...and now that workers are remote and can live wherever they want, these are fair game.

After driving through Port Lavaca, TX, that seems really nice.

If you like snow, you will be happy with Rock Island.

Just coming back from two weeks in the Highlands and was very covetous of well fitted and kitted vans. Saw a lot of variety: young people with boards and bikes, families with full kitchens, etc. I wanted nothing more than to go to sleep and wake on some of those pullover spots. The most gorgeous landscapes anywhere. I give you all the credit for driving up there in a van - single track and people drive fast! I was told that the number of campers went up with COVID, and your priorities of handling waste and trash are very good reminders.

A lot of the coolest places are, in my experience :)
