Not to mention how they removed MagSafe which is possibly one of the best Apple inventions.

My life is close to yours. I have 2 young kids but I work from home. But here's how I swing it: I wake up at 4:00am and work till about 6am when my kids wake up. Then I'm back at it at 7am when my wife takes over with kids. I then work till anytime between 3pm and 5pm.

That's about 10 to 12 hours a day. It's a lot but I'm usually working on contract or my own business so I love my work.

I don't really believe in side projects. I believe in taking a plunge.

So everyone thinks that cause Bitcoin is down from its high that it was a bad investment? The top has been reached and it's all downhill from here?

Nobody who invested 1+ years ago is down so save your judgements for the future.

Bitcoin is a store of value. And it's among the fastest, cheapest ways to send money worldwide. As we all know, there is a limit to the number of Bitcoins thus people think the value will increase with demand.

I'm not a Bitcoin investor. But I do buy other alt coins. All the points you mentioned are valid but are constantly being improved upon.

They said the same exact thing when Bitcoin went from $1k back down to $300.

Yes, But they would incur an additional service charge for that dispute. That’s the worst part about being a merchant. Someone buys a digital product from you, then they file a chargeback. You are then down the original charge plus a fee that can be as much as $25 or more.

It might surprise you to know that even the most brilliant people have imposter syndrome. We, as humans, are generally not good at evaluating our own true worth.

It feels like the vast majority of the comments are negative towards the stock market and essentially saying “we may not recover this time”. The thing is, we always think that. We always think this time is different. We always think this might be the end. When Covid struck? It was different because the world economy was shut. When 2008 happened? It was different. 2000? Different. 1987? Different. Markets will eventually recover. It will not take you 4 decades to recover. Sure, it could take years. But buy good companies, dollar cost average, and realize your loss isn’t realized until you sell. Also realize that the best time to buy stocks is always, but especially when people are flooding forums with negativity.

That horrific, I’m sorry you go through that.

$2k? Yikes. I’m sure it’s cool cause I had the original OP-1 and it was lots of fun. But that’s just too expensive. You can get a serious analog synth at that price.

My tank costs about $160 in Canada. You guys are paying like half what we pay.

Exactly

I love my work. I think that’s the answer.

To all those saying they don’t put an ounce more than what they’re paid to: imagine being a good employer and urgently you need an extra effort from your team and everyone just clocks out when you need them most cause it’s 5pm. I would clean house the next day.

I have a 8-core 2008 MacPro (desktop) which is still going strong. I replaced the video card and it’s easy to swap in new hard drives. Only issue with Macs is apple stops allowing so upgrades.

Living expenses are an incredibly valid reason.

What would it cost Adobe NOT to acquire Figma? I interview several UI/UX and product designers every week and without exception the tool they use if Figma.

Age is meaningless… it’s all about how you feel. So nothing is really ever too late.

This article is not useful for a typical entrepreneur. Most work for many years with little chance of raising capital. This guy makes it sound like all you need is some experience and a good idea. And now he’s writing a “all I learned” article about his past 3 months. Give me a break. (And no offence OP but I do feel it sounds out of touch)

Brilliant article, thank you. Your experience mirrors mine from the 90s warehouse rave days in Montreal, Canada.

E was as much a as $40/pill (CAD) in the mid 90s in Montreal, Canada.

Calling yourself a polymath is akin to calling your self a genius.
