I've met several programming curmudgeons in my time, none of them were JS devs. Oddly they were people like yourself that like to throw around lazy generalizations.

The fact you think 'the existence of leftpad' is an issue itself suggests you didn't really understand the incident.

I also don't see what that has to do with 'comfort zones'.
