This probably is some sort of Fallacy that has a name... People should be looking for the best product at the time for them, not the best brand forever. There are anecdotes of people switching from one platform to the other and never looking back all over the place. Technology evolves so quickly that when you switch from one platform to another, it's almost always a step up provided you purchase in the same tier or better of devices. Imagine someone driving a 10 year old car from one brand, who decides to try a new brand of car. It has 10 years of new technology in it and blows the old car out of the water. Does that mean that they should switch brands forever and never look back? Phones and computers move much faster than cars. That being said, your opinion is completely valid and hopefully I don't come off as if I'm telling you your opinion is wrong or anything like that
