That adage about boiling the frog by slowly upping the temperature so it doesn't notice probably applies here


The adage of people using up free things until the providers go bankrupt also applies.

Agreed; it seems like I'm having to re-opt out every day, at least once a day. I haven't figured out if it is a setting in the subs' that I read (maybe something in their themes?) or something on my end.


Maybe design-wise, but the principles such as pseudonymity haven’t changed and that’s far more important in the long run.

It reminds me of the Digg exodus to reddit.
