I don't see a problem with that. The club should have vetted their members better, and since it didn't, it should be dissolved and its assets handed to the wronged party.

If libel law is broken, fix libel law. If a site distributes misinformation (that is not protected by law) that harms someone, someone should be responsible.

Indemnification of massive tech companies and not individuals is just a giveaway.
