The primary difference is a few billion years of optical and neurological evolution.

The point is that whenever you ride in a conveyance (whether as passenger or driver) it's always "your problem" if there's an accident.

Short of MB putting an executive to sit alongside every passenger in their car (which you'll note that Uber, the airlines etc don't do either), what exactly are they supposed to do above and beyond taking liability for accidents while the system is in operation?
