Perhaps there is hope for the younger generation after all…

I don't know, it seems to me they just all moved over to Tik Tok, which doesn't seem much better.

Exactly, how are the young's data being farmed by China's government any better

Well the chinese are communists and not profit driven, what more could you ask for? (Hard /s)

They are having their attention and habits hijacked via video from TikTok instead. I'd argue that's not better, at all.

Saying they abandoned Facebook is not really accurate, it isn't like the same cohort had Facebook accounts and then left. More accurate to say that Facebook is no longer attracting new teen users at nearly the rate they used to.

It’s about 7 years too late for this article

With IG stories and TikTok, thought Snapchat was dead. Surprised to see it not only attracts new users but is popular in the teen group.

If you had asked me a couple of years ago, I would have thought the same about Snapchat but about 2 years ago my teen daughter started using it. It is by far the most commonly used messaging service for her and her friends. She participates in a sport that leads her to traveling a good deal and meet teens from around the US. When she meets someone she wants to keep in touch with exchanging Snapchat info is how they do it.

I am surprised this still qualifies as news. It been happening a long time.
