But none of it holds a candle to TweetBot or Twitterific.


If you're on iOS/macOS, the developer of Tweaks for Twitter [1] has been keeping up with recent downgrades to the web UI. The version released today will hide the For You tab and always show the Following tab (plus blocking ads / promoted tweets etc etc).

That’s exactly what I’ve started using. The website is almost sort-of usable with it.

It's almost acceptable, except that there's no timeline sync between clients - personally for me it's a pretty big dealbreaker
