What's the difference between Elon Musk's Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg's clone?
On Elon's Twitter, every tweet gets an automatic suggestion for a one-way trip to Mars. On Zuckerberg's clone, you just keep getting ads for Mars bars.
I think Twitter's engagement metrics are falling so Elon is tweeting like a troll in order to try to boost attention to the site/app.
I think the initial wave of engagement from all the attention created by the sale and layoffs are gone. A lot of people realized that Twitter is worse now than before, so they've stopped using it. That's my guess.
I visit Twitter occasionally and all I see are far-right groups, crypto bros and grifters, and some AI is taking over the world tweets here and there.
Deeper there are still creative communities discussing art, 3D, programming, interior design, whatever. Unfortunately the algorithm assigns high "gravity" to these controversial trolls, not to mention additionally boosted by paid checks. So as you move on your free trajectory sooner or later you crash on a troll planet.
