Half as many as Waymo are now permitted Cruise by the DMV, as of the last enforcement action a week or so ago.
Three of Waymo’s past four incidents can be plausibly considered “at fault”; the fourth was a passenger vehicle running a red light, the most common accident reported by all of them.
It seems that Cruise is involved in incidents every week while waymo is doing mostly fine?
Although the news coverage often lump them both into the same group, reporting that Yet another incident involving autonomous vehicles today...
Just wondering if maybe Waymo's tech is better or if they are just running at a much smaller scale.
I was in SF recently and saw both brands on the streets in equal numbers (once each).
