At release, the police mechanics were the most immersion breaking part for me. They would just appear randomly when you were wanted and disappear if you turned around.

>Updated PC system requirements. A SSD is now required to run the game

lol they finally gave in

The police were bad, but the writing was the worst part of that game for me. None of the missions really felt meaningful, and a lot of their dramatic setpieces are strung along on cheesy dialogue and pulp-author logic. The amount of effort put into technical congruity feels nonexistent in the game, which intentionally or not makes it hard for me to roleplay as a competent hacker. People sling 50's greaser slang and cutely pretend it's enough to explain brain implants. The voice acting is largely great, which makes it a shame that so much time is spent zooming in on Keanu and his half-asleep delivery. The tone verges closer to Borderlands than Bethesda, which is concerning considering neither game really set a high bar for self-serious roleplaying.

I don't know what I expected. I had never played a CDPR game before Cyberpunk 2077, but no part of that game really sets a high benchmark for the industry in my opinion. Everything it does feels like it's been done better somewhere else, and none of the storytelling compels me to play along.

I'll probably check this out whenever I get Phantom Liberty. Looking forward to seeing how they revamped the perks, I remember there were too many when I played through.
