I've applied to jobs from HN that I had to ditch mid-interview. It's genuinely unbelievable how little some founders care about sourcing good talent, and when you have a poor interview routine it signals to experienced candidates that it's time to leave. An AI-powered cartoon interview is the fastest way to make any disciplined employee want to stop working for your business.
I suspect that a lot of employers, like far too many job applicants, don't realize that an employment interview goes both ways. The applicant is (or should be) interviewing the company and assessing the suitability of the position just as much as the interviewer is.
As a job-seeker, it's a showstopper if that's not possible for me to do.
