Are you seriously trying to suggest that it's equivalently risky giving a 10 year old a phone or heroin?

view as:

Is this a real question? Do you have difficulty understanding metaphors?

I don't. Which is why I asked. If you mean something else, perhaps you could be so kind as to say it.

You do appear to have difficulty as you took what I said in metaphor and applied it literally. that's not how metaphors work.

You literally did not use a metaphor. You claimed that other people were making comparisons. But a metaphor is just one kind of comparative tool.

You continue to obstinately be overly semantic instead accepting that not everything is perfectly literal.

I understand not everything is perfectly literal. However, your literal point is bad and foolish, and if you were making a different one, it's still not clear what it is. So I'm just going to collapse this discussion believing that you didn't really have a point, and were just running your mouth with some hyperbole you coulnd't in the end justify.

Heroin no, but something like amphetamine/Adderall actually seems like a reasonable comparison to me.
