I didn't downvote, but I found that your comment didn't add anything to the discussion. You said stuff about yourself, gave no new information, and invited polarizing comments.
Couldn't you just post your own thoughts instead of downvoting my comment then? Or if you find it irrelevant just ignore it? What does downvoting add? Personally I don't care if you want to downvote, but your justification doesn't make any sense.
I didn't down vote you but I'd imagine the down voting wasn't for disagreement with you, but rather, because your statement doesn't seem to add much value to the conversation.
I didn't downvote you because I didn't agree with you (even though I don't), but because your comment is underspecified, un-argumented, and thus without any value.
I didn't downvote, but I understand why people did. Both the parent comment and your reply add more or less nothing to the discussion. The problem isn't your comment, the problem is the parent comment, but if you feed the trolls, well, you know what happens :)
I didn't downvote you, but my guess is that your (pre-edit) comment adds little to the conversation, and could nearly as easily have been expressed by upvoting the parent (which, IMO, also fails to add much to the discussion).
I downvoted, not because of what he said or how he said it, but because there's basically no chance that the comment will lead to an enlightening conversation.
