Now that I've bought his book for $5, i agree, he should raise the price of it :)
But I think the bigger thing is that price difference between the Paperback and the Kindle version. I see the Kindle at $5 and I think the value of the book is $5. And so to get it in print, I am paying $13 more for that. So the cost to print the paperback is $13. That's how I see it.
So i'd much rather see a smaller difference in price between the two. Show me the value of your book is actually $9, and the paperback is only, at most, $5 more.
So I really like the description of "The Righteous Mind" WHY is it $2.50 more to get the Kindle version then to have a paperback book shipped to my home!
Also, in order to be constructive: the kindle version was published 21-June and thus is available right now. Sadly the kindle preview does not include the table of contents
Note that the book is no longer $0.99, as stated in the article. It's currently $8.39 (vs $9.00 for the paperback). I always get disappointed to see such a small difference in price between Kindle and paperback.
Thanks for the book recommendation. I went to buy it off of Amazon and got a reminder of just how screwed up the book publishing market is screwed up. The electronic version is almost $3.00 (22%) more than the paperback.
I'm sorry to veer off topic but is anyone else infuriated that a brand new hard cover edition of this book is $13 (or as low as $7 from other sellers) but the Kindle version is $15? I don't even own a Kindle but that's ridiculous pricing.
The book looks interesting and I considered buying it, but then I discovered that the Kindle edition is more expensive than the hardcover. When it is like this, I feel cheated (to say the least). So, I'm sorry, but I'll not buy it. Too bad.
