It is a fake account used in Facebook demo's on media days etc.

the real person in the photo is here: http://www.facebook.com/janesmith199

(edit: that person is also fake)

sort by: page size:

if this is real (seems it is a real screenshot)

how could/dare FB do this, hmm... interesting... like to learn more...

Found that guy's facebook. It does seem real, I mean the person seems real, but I still really hope they're doing this as a joke or something.

It looks like someone else posted this to the FB account, not the other way around.

The post is not by Facebook.

Here is the actual Facebook post, with photos (sv): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=725135880838623&set=...

Is this Facebook?

Link to the account (requires login): http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000838258266&sk=wall

Some screenshots (in case you don't want to log in): http://imgur.com/a/wGuVN

There's literally thousands and thousands of posts. They don't actually make any sense, but they're spot-on grammatically, and a lot of WWII-era jargon. Google turns up nothing except people wondering what she is saying.

So what's going on here? Spies communicating? Some type of spam/SEO gaming? Rabbit hole for an ARG? Testing some kind of FB bot software?

I can't work out who would be incentivized to create this and what sort of purpose it could serve.

No it's not. This is Facebook PR.

The original Facebook post this is from is reportedly here [1] according to a comment on the linked Reddit page

The creator tries to pass themselves off as Facebook as well—"By FB", which links to www.facebook.com. Very uncool.

Update: This from Facebook just now...

We reviewed the profile you reported and found that it doesn't go against any of our Community Standards. If there's something specific on this profile that you think we should review (e.g. a photo), please report the content itself. We want to keep Facebook safe and welcoming for everyone, so thanks again for taking the time to report this.

It's from "Facebook Creative Labs" (https://www.facebook.com/labs) so I'm sure this is more experimental at this point.

(For clarity – this person does not work at Facebook despite that convincing noreply@facebook.com email.)

What kind of Facebook thing is this?

Source?

Seems to be a Facebook thing.
