They simply won't turn their GPS on.

Wouldn't it just make sense to tell them not to use GPS?

Good thing they don't use the Internet or GPS then.

They had a smartphone with working GPS and they didn't know where they were...

Plenty of places have no reliable GPS reception.

They also play a game where they refuse to center on your location without tracking enabled even though the GPS is working fine and the pip is on the map.

Or just turn off the GPS.

Are they jamming GPS, or just turning it off over that area? Sort of hard to tell reading that article.

They're not gong to be receiving GPS signals in the type of room in which these machines are found.

And losing their GPS to boot

They probably don't want to have a facility in their software or hardware that could accidentally (or purposely) be set to disable GPS during normal operation. Even something physical like a switch would make subtle sabotage easier.

Always on GPS, not cool with that.

Translation: we never tested flight with the GPS off.

You don't have to turn off their GPS for them to get stuck in LA's gridlock and miss the invasion time. They are their own worst enemy.

Aren't they equipped with GPS?

And 100% of the population has no way to monitor if a GPS tracker has been planted.

Maybe they are using GPS as a compass?

“Pausing always fixes erratic mode” makes me suspect they don’t have a GPS lock for some reason.

GPS signals are weak. You simply jam them.

Inside of a faraday cage, there is no GPS reception.
