Aren't they equipped with GPS?

Maybe they are using GPS as a compass?

If they did, they would be crashing into parked cars and buildings as well. GPS can not be the basis of fine navigation, and it does nothing for collision avoidance.

They probably use GPS? If not, then just get bigger tires.

Apparently they use IP address and geolocation in that case, not GPS.

Yet GPS works.

Seems like they could handle that problem directly, considering the cars have GPS.

Perhaps they meant assisted GPS.

They had a smartphone with working GPS and they didn't know where they were...

I wonder if they are using the GPS to track customers.

That's strange that they use such an inaccurate sensor when they have a GPS.

They're not gong to be receiving GPS signals in the type of room in which these machines are found.

That's not how GPS works.

Maybe it's relying on maps & GPS data.

They simply won't turn their GPS on.

I think that's a fallacious argument. On the face of it, that they're not using GPS doesn't necessarily mean that it's because of a lack of precision. There could be other factors than precision that influence their choice.

they'd be able to tell by the GPS coordinates, whether they bother, who know?

That is actually a bit reassuring that they can not just at a whim turn on gps tracking.

Nor do they know where each GPS receiver is located, contrary to popular belief.

Oops, they actually just went into a tunnel and it couldn't get a GPS lock.
