I don't get it! He complained that it was malfunctioning but he continued using it?

I think they're noting that he claimed that he wasn't using it. Then, how had he noticed it wasn't working properly if he wasn't using it?

"If he hasn't used it since January, how did he discover it wasn't working correctly?"

It's impossible he had a faulty model?

I think the malfunctioning was the guy shutting down safety meassures intentionally with screwdrivers?

In other words, some person did something very stupid, while thinking he is clever.

To play devil's advocate, maybe he was using it for the first time since January and found that it didn't work.

"You're holding it wrong."

He did have a backup. Having it also be mysteriously borked certainly violates the principle of least surprise.

That's a bug like Fukushima is an industrial accident.

TLDR; A faulty button causes his mini to record without request

He's running his program on the testing machine, which would void the warranty.

He must had a hard time figuring it out when he first encountered the problem..

Why didn't he just call a repairman?

Sounds like he was burnt out. It's not that hard to recognize when you have a good product.

"After a couple of days" he noticed that "it's a disposable machine" and "none of its components can be upgraded"? Those are valid complaints, but they're public knowledge. If he didn't do the research before buying it, it's a little silly to be complaining about those two things now.

I showed him the exact problematic line, but he didn't seem to understand it. same thing happened previously.

I'm really surprised at how many times he was able to recover and reuse that device before it was lost for good.

It seems like during the last clip the stink spray failed to activate for some reason?

That was broken when he bought it.

I think he was speaking metaphorically about having to fix equipment that was interfering with neighboring equipment.

Did he solder the board for that or did he just take apart a nightstand clock and put it into another case?

This is what happens when people in charge have no clue anymore what is inside electronics. Computers and smartphones are just "magic".

I get what you're saying, but when he plugged it in it didn't work. Even if he was trying to do what it's supposed to do he would have had problems.

I'd like to add I'm completely appreciative and thankful of what you're doing.

I'd believe it. He said the electronics screw up, too. He was fixing a control system on one that was just a few circuits in the knob on older ones.
