You can also find US-market Coca-Cola sweetened with sugar at most Walmarts. It costs a bit less than the Mexican Coke. There's a section in the soda aisle that has a variety of "classic" and new soft drinks that don't have HFCS.

Pepsi, however, offers "Throwback" versions of Pepsi and Mountain Dew which use cane sugar instead of HFCS, and seem to be commonly available at many normal grocery stores in 12-packs for the same price as the regular ones. I prefer it to regular Coke, though Mexican Coke is a little better (but also much more expensive).

I visited the World of Coke in Atlanta a couple years ago, and at the end of the tour they had machines dispensing samples of all kinds of their international sodas. I was disappointed to find that Mexican coke was not offered, although in retrospect, not surprising as they probably would prefer not to advertise how much better cane sugar Coke is.

If you just want the cane-sugar coke, I've seen Costco sell it (imported from Mexico, IIRC).

Rarely you can find sugar free flavored coke (around here cherry and vanilla seem somewhat common) but the only places that carry it are higher on the cost index.

You might also be able to find Mexican Coke, which is sweetened with cane sugar. I've seen it at regular grocery stores in upstate NY and CT so I imagine it's fairly common.

There's a grocery store in Los Angeles with a large collection of glass-bottle sodas and they do sell online at http://www.sodapopstop.com/, but there are other sites as well. Elsewhere in California, I've seen Beverages and More have a small collection also.

Do go to the international section of the store and get the Mexican Coke that is made with cane sugar.

High Sucktoes Corn Syrup is exactly that in comparison.

You don’t have to buy Coca-Cola from Wal-Mart.

I don't believe this is (100%) true anymore.

Mexican Coke you buy in the US is sweetened with cane sugar, but Mexican Coke you buy in Mexico is often sweetened with high fructose corn syrup.

Not that different from US consumers insisting on Mexican Coca-Cola because it is made with sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup.

Both Mexican Coke and kosher-for-passover Coke are made with sugar instead of HFCS. If you're in America, one of the two is probably available near you.

Oddly enough I've found Coca Cola bought from WalMart tastes the same as from a locally-owned grocery.

Coke in the US is made with high fructose corn syrup. That’s why Mexican coke is often imported: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Coke

Well ackshully, It's getting popular in America to get "Mexican Coke" (which is bottled, not canned so your point can still stand) because it can use cane sugar instead of HFCS:

I can't stand canned US coke. I have to drink mexican coke, which is sold at Homedepot near me. They seem to be selling those at $1 per bottle pretty well.

Right, but unless they specifically source it from Mexico (as that link seems to for that outlet), it might be Canadian Coke, which also has sugar and which you can also buy in glass bottles.

Bear in mind that Coca-Cola is made with sugar in most of the world, unlike in the USA where it's made with HFCS.

It's enough of a difference that Mexican coke is flatter and tastes sweeter than the HFCS flavor.

Mexican Coke isn't any more significantly expensive than US Coke.

I've never actually seen coke made with sugar in cans! I've always heard of "kosher coke"/"passover coke" but never been able to find it.

Pepsi was selling "Dr Pepper Heritage" (green/yellow cans) and "Pepsi Throwback" for a few years around a decade ago. It was pretty widely available at gas stations in the midwest, although 12-packs of the Dr Pepper was not very common.

"Mexican coke" is still made with real sugar. Costco has it in glass bottles pretty consistently, and sometimes has pepsi in glass bottles with real sugar as well (although the pepsi isn't labeled like it's a Mexico product).

They have glass bottles of pepsi and coke around Kansas City in Mexican grocery stores as well as, oddly enough, the gas stations on the Kansas Turnpike. Half liter bottles are more common in the Mexican stores, but wal-mart often has 12 oz bottles of Mexican coke in the Hispanic section.

Most places around the globe have coke with sugar. Its purely a cost conscious decision on coke's part
