Remote work may be possible for coding type folks. But for real business, especially around sales, relationship building, decision-making, problem-solving...I just don't see how this will be feasible.

I think coding, in particular, is probably the best possible scenario for remote work. Your job is interfacing with a computer, people are just a distraction.

But a business is a lot more than just coders.

Who do you work for, or at least what sort of thing are you working on? This sounds ideal to me, but I'm worried my skill set isn't as conducive to remote work.

Nah, of course not. It's not even practical... The amount of jobs that could be done remotely (e.g. programming, design, etc.) are just a tiny fraction.

Well, if remote work isn't feasible (for the reasons stated), neither is offshoring. Or outsourcing. Or physical satellite offices.
