I wonder if Google will follow suit.

Will Google follow suit?

Maybe Google will come to the rescue.

I sure hope they don't. Google is big enough, we need alternatives.

Maybe that's what Google will try to do.

We can only hope that Google kindly complies.

I wonder what will be the response from google

It's only a matter of time before Google starts doing the same thing. I can't imagine Google wont do it eventually.

I am surprised they haven’t done that yet. With all their feistiness against Google in last few years, this seems like a very logical next step.

This is probably what Google will do soon. We'll see!

Now gotta wonder if Google has succumbed to government pressure to do the same.

I'm really hoping and trusting they haven't.

Probably won't be long before Google starts applying similar pressure.

I wonder if this is something that Google and Co. will also be allowed to do?

They already do, or at least hope that google does for them...

...You think google is going to do that?

Hopefully not. They are not a monopoly and doing so would be a severe overreach.

Edit: Looks like many don't understand that you have alternatives to Google and you can use them.

I hope they do – Google is far, far, far too dominant in this space, and small-ish incumbents don't really stand a chance. If they keep up their privacy-friendly stance, this could really become something neat. I'd like for at least a little bit of competition in the gatekeeper-for-human-knowledge space.

Well..Google has as more than legal power to take care of itself, will be interesting.

I’m guessing this will stop, unless Google has a special agreement in place.

That would be a reasonable course of action for Google to take.
