Hope the new owners don't turn it to another _Expert Exchange_.

Hopefully they wont go full circle and become what they originally set to erupt. eg. experts exchange.

Hopefully, once they get acquired, they'll be forced to change it

I'm sure it will be resolved by instead giving out ChanServ ownership willy-nilly.

Hopefully it won’t be used to spam them with frivolous offers.

They will eventually need to do that like with the rest of the acquisitions.

They'll almost certainly have another company handling operations and maintenance.

They're just going to call up an expert like they do with every industry.

I really hope they don't rush all this merging and forking.

And also "audit the auditors". So they don't end up on a future rekt.news leaderboard.

I'm sure they'll put a very robust algorithm in place to ensure no wrongful repossessions will happen. I'm also sure that, if they ever somehow did, there will be a very accessible customer service system that will be able to resolve the issue.

I don't know anything involved in the process, but I hope this doesn't make it any harder for regulators to break them up when the day finally comes.

I hope this doesn't cause their customers to re-volt.

Doubt it, we've started a fresh property as well which should theoretically guarantee isolation. Time will tell.

That’s great news.

My fear is that this will be forgotten and then they’ll do it again later (new management, new cost pressure, whatever).

And it may happen without notice, or being older without so many people pushing for it.

That is true -- most likely the preferences will go away, although who knows what they may negotiate.

Hopefully they keep it in new reddit.

I hope they don't try for traditional accreditation.

They'll have ChatGPT sort it for them.

Hopefully they fire most of the management, retain what technical talent they decide, and effectively reboot the entire company.

I really hope they don't follow suit on this.
