Wow. This is amazing. I guess I have to buy LG tv's from now on.

Well done picking a good TV. Unfortunately even other LG TVs are doing this: https://twitter.com/chriswelch/status/1369733357756686349

Imagine LG doing something like this with their TVs...

It's on my LG TV, and it's great

I bought an LG OLED TV last black Friday. Its incredible. I rarely watched TV but this winter I found lots of excuses to watch as much as possible.

Special mention to Amazon's the Grand Tour. Available in 4k HDR some segments have the best quality video I've ever seen - sometimes the TV just looks like a window.

I am sure that I bought a TV for the very last time. This is mind blowing, the future is here!

I made myself a promise to convey my sentiment towards LG tvs to anyone asking, so here you go: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24662353#24665736

It was LG.

Why TVs? All the good panels are by LG.

The LG sets did this.

What did LG do? (I've got one.)

This is quite the technical accomplishment but I can't stop feeling like buying a new TV would have cost less than the value of the time spent on this impressive solution.

Now everything wrong about my LG tv makes sense!

Phhhhtttt, next you'll tell me the $25K 4k TV I bought in 2012 can be bought by the masses for next to nothing.

To be fair, it sounds like you purchase the best of the best in TVs.

I'd be curious to know what model tv you use for this.

Which TV's?

It's TV.

It feels like LG and Samsung just came out of nowhere to take over the TV market.

I bought a 55” LG 4k tv in 2018 and I am so glad that I bought it before all this always-on ads-infused nonsense became integrated.

It works great and I hope it lasts a long time.
