If there are two people they can throw the ball at each other and not be directly in the center of the picture.

Or, maybe you can throw the ball in front of you even if nobody catches it: it looks pretty robust.

It can if they throw it

When trying to play catch, it's nice to have a partner who throws the ball back. Whatever the medium.

Yet if someone throws me a ball, I can catch it.

Ball collision seems a bit wacky. It looks like each cohort can bounce off each other, but will pass right through any other ball.

One key thing that's always left out of these instructions is that you can't throw the same arc with both hands. This causes the balls to collide mid-air if your throws are too consistent. This was very frustrating for me when I was first learning. You have to move your hands side to side a little, throwing when your hand is closer to your center and catching when your hand is further from your center.

*throw

Not everything is as easy as throwing a ball.

also, server is having a real bad time with just 5 players. I'd suggest to send only the throw and have the client calculate the physic, as sending the ball position is extremely choppy

haha... that would be wild. I bet it would look more like a middle school kids game, with two groups of each team chasing the two different balls.

You know what would be cool? If I could throw my ball into your dock. And then it's yours. You can throw it back to me.

On mobile this is a perfect illusion, unless you physicslly hide all but one ball.

with no indicators to which player is controlling which object before the ball drops would cause another level of chaos in the fun

Rather than wrapping around it might be fun to bounce off the edges of the game area.

> it might be possible to have some balls collide in such a way that at least one comes to a stop.

can you give an example?

This is actually the opposite.

OP reasoning is more -

Everyone is at the back.

Everyone has a bucket of balls to try with.

Except underprivileged people get an electric shock when they miss.

But if you just hold out a ball and drop it, it won't look the same in reverse.

Successive positions of a thrown ball?

Could be funny to create a real version of this where balls are pushed from behind out of the holes.

Very well done!

They also use diagrams showing the ball traveling the wrong way. https://imgur.com/a/o3sHFhX
