sort by: page size:

Also known as the Y Combinator :P

There is a Y Combinator in there!

Y combinator possible?

Neat, I just learned what the Y combinator actually is!

Appropriately enough, a Y combinator fits the bill.

This is just a 'Y-combinator thing.'

It's called Y Combinator ;)

I'm only somewhat kidding.

Someone needs to have a word with Y Combinator.

Well I guess that's Y Combinator to some extent...

+1 for Y Combinator :)

I'll be honest, I didn't know what Y-Combinator is. It was one of those things I just took as granted. Mind blown.

It sounds like the description of Y Combinator, no?

You can see where the name 'Y Combinator' came from. Thanks.

Maybe there is a Y-Combinator connection?

Oh wow, I didn't know that "Y-Combinator" was not just a fancy name but was an actual computer science concept. Thanks!

Why combinator, Y?

the Y combinator is an answer to this exact question

This link (from the comments on the OP) is actually a very interesting yet simple explaination of the Y-Combinator.

The Y combinator is a fix-point combinator in lambda calculus, typically in languages like Scheme or Lisp.

But I guess that's not what you were asking about, so:

> Y Combinator Management, LLC is an American technology startup accelerator launched in March 2005 which has been used to launch more than 4,000 companies. The accelerator program started in Boston and Mountain View, expanded to San Francisco in 2019, and was entirely online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

That is from Wikipedia.
