Why would I tldr max 30mins video, I tried tlrd'ing 2hrs video but not in the free tier.

Funny... I got the message that I could upload longer videos, but the bullet points next to the upload button still say "Shorter than 15 minutes."

Yes! The 30 min limit was just a heuristic to make simplify some parts of the generation (almost always captions exist, so no need to run whisper, and 30 min is 4-5k tokens so very little chance of going over and needing multiple generations)

Video file length is not the type of time they ran out of.

To present a topic properly takes much more time than the 2 minutes you see in the video.

I upgraded the context to 16k. So longer videos should work now, such as a ~1 hour speech.

14 minute video? Why? On the homepage have a video that is 30-60 seconds. here is an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFcZjtGS1CE

According to the pricing page, each video can only be 2mins long. So this appears to be geared towards social media video sharing and marketing.

This might be true if the application asked for a 10 minute video, but the extreme time limit makes it such that production value means next to nil (as long as you can understand what they're saying...)

There is quite some value in longer videos.

However there seems to be a thing that you need 10 minutes for monetisation, so people stretch content not needing much time to those 10 minutes ...
