I would note that IBM is like 80% middle management. At this scale, one could easily make an AI tool that generates powerpoint presentations from an email, present it to a different AI that can create an email with the bullet points that can then be read by another AI...
Let’s ask Chat GPT what he/she thinks about that: Do you think an AI could write slides for management consultants in the future? Explain it in a way an arrogant consultant would phrase it.
Yes, I think it's possible for an AI to write slides for management consultants in the future. In fact, I would argue that an AI could potentially do a better job at creating slides for consultants than a human. With access to vast amounts of data and the ability to analyze it quickly and accurately, an AI could help consultants create more compelling and effective presentations. Additionally, because an AI wouldn't be limited by human biases or constraints, it could help consultants think outside the box and come up with unique and innovative ideas to present to their clients. Overall, an AI-powered tool for creating consulting slides could be a valuable asset to any management consultant.
I want a management assisting AI. It would be neat to have it listen into all meetings to identify stakeholders and to be able to remember all the details and place them in a larger context, so you can ask detailed questions. An AI can attend all meetings, and remember every detail. Imagine intelligent documentation.
It's a good and an obvious feature to implement. Probably will save time but I can't but wonder how useful the tasks are in the first place when an AI can do them. Generating a PowerPoint presentation from general observations about some data sounds pretty silly. Helping you to make some Excel spreadsheet is probably more useful but I digress. Never been much of a Office 365 user.
I don’t know how feasible it is, but I imagine larger orgs like the one I work in have document templates “e.g Business Architecture Review and Incident Postmortem”. I could see it being helpful to be able to inform an AI tool of these templates and have it assist you will filling out the sections of the template.
How do you get value from chatting with documents? I can scan and read a pdf faster than I can chat with an AI about it. There must be more to it than I realize.
Great insight, thanks! It sounds like AI could play a part here in order to achieve the required efficiency, e.g. sorting out the right papers for you.
I don't want to get too much on the ai hype train - but it seems like this would be perfect for machine learning, trained on the wiki-snippets of the company and emails (initiator would have to set a flag saying this is going to be training data).
I mean it in the broadest sense. So any rote task I could explain to an assistant.
For example:
- Backup all these files to Google Drive and share them with Susan
- Take a look at all of these links , summarize in a few sentences what each company does, and put it in a doc organized by industry
- Use this template and setup a DocuSign for me and Dan
Just thinking out loud, but would love an AI automation tool that has access to the screen and keyboard just like I do.
Good luck finding people with AI skills these days. Its seems possible that AI could be useful for accessing your files. Or having a chat using the files as expertise.
I imagine that leveraging AI to answer questions about documents, or helping with documentation composition, could be an expected feature by DropBox customers.
Something as simple as creating tags and summarys for documents, pipelining automatic PII handling are some features I could see being useful from the 28 seconds I spent thinking of applying AI to dropbox.
You will get a system that can do specifically that or very very similar tasks given a carefully worded email which amounts to an English like programming language created by people that cost an order of magnitude more than the people that would have massaged the data into a spreadsheet.
This is actually probably a decent idea but it wouldn't be anything like general AI this year or next.
The actual documentation and emails are like 80% bullshit though. This will just generate more plausible sounding bullshit than a completely naive AI. It would be nice if the thing helps me right excel formulas more conveniently though.
