This is great! I was actually starting to build a similar tool to customize bootstrap styles, but I think I'll just start to use this one :) Good work.

This looks really useful; sort of a roll-your-own-Bootstrap tool. I had my own version of this, but I’m looking forward to experimenting with it.

This is really awesome! I'm just getting started on bootstrap and this looks like it's going to make things even easier. Thanks for your work!

Nice. I haven't seen something like this before - I wish I had it when I used Bootstrap in the past. Congrats on getting it out the door.

Awesome. Thanks. Good work.

It's surprising always how little you need to tweak Bootstrap to make it look completely different.

Very cool. Thank you for putting that up. I'll be using that on future bootstrap projects

Congrats on the release! This is a very useful tool for bootstrap devs, such as myself.

How did you build it? Aside from using bootstrap itself, did you use any kind of tool for the docs? I really dig the style! :D

Very nice, will have to check this out for the project I'm starting today. Sick of using Bootstrap to demo when I usually change everything. Just need some boilerplate instead.

Nice work! Very useful additions to Bootstrap.

This goes even further than the flat/gradients debate and will also be useful for people who'd like to deeply customize bootstrap.

Customizing Bootstrap has always been a pain (and I'm not the only one to think this, in the words of @mdo : those who want to use Bootstrap as a bootstrap kind of get the short end of the stick), I'm very happy to see that they're looking to make this easier.

This is a great idea - lots of sites can make great use of Bootstrap and having ways to reskin it easily greatly increases the available looks and feels.

Something I'd personally pay for is an in-depth guide for how to go about reskinning Bootstrap myself, as my current approach is just to add one-off styles as needed or customize a few of the Sass variables but nothing fancier.

I am really liking how this bootstrap is going. I may give it a try in a project or 2.

Great job! Looking forward to other similar tools that people will be posting here - My FED skills are just horrendous, even with Bootstrap. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome, thanks! I will do so :) (I'm currently in the process of ripping Bootstrap out of an app for performance reasons and styling flexibility -- flexbox)

Hello,

I'd like to hear your opinion & feedback about this side project of mine. It is a Bootstrap Theme Builder.

Today, it has the following features:

- Variables.scss are categorized and searchable.

- Live preview of changes, you can look at: full UI Kit, Bootstrap docs, Bootstrap examples

- Each variable type brings some custom behaviour: color will show a Sketch-like color picker, size shows you +/- buttons, autosuggest for referencing other variables, font will show an autosuggest for all Google fonts, import your own variables.scss, export bootstrap.css, bootstrap.min.css, or variables.scss

Under the Pro plan, you can host an unlimited amount of custom builds of Bootstrap on Bootstrap.build's CDN via Cloudfront. You can stage your changes and only push them to CDN when you're ready.

I've also recently launched a themes catalogue: https://bootstrap.build/themes.

In near future, I would like to add ratings for themes and the ability for users to share them.

yes please! It's so good to modify and adapt bootstrap on your website and read good styled css!

Thanks a ton for posting this - I didn't realize I was looking for a Bootstrap replacement 'til I found this thread, but this feels cleaner in a lot of very nice ways.

Thanks! We definitely plan on adding this stuff. I'd love to be able to help people easily get past the "default bootstrap" look and have some really great looking sites.

intrigued to see what you come up with..as we speak I am building a visual UI builder for our dev product and bootstrap is the basis...your screenshots look pretty so far :)
