But haven't shots been fired, soldiers and civilians killed?

Haven't they killed thousands

I would like to join other commenters in questioning whether or not civilians are already routinely and indiscriminately killed.

It's weird that they're killing so many civilians then, isn't it?

You totally ignore all the deaths of civilians caused by the US military and other actions.

Without evidence? It is true the US military refuses to count civilian murders and quaintly calls it collateral damage, as if brown kids are but roads and bridges.

What do you call 14 years of war in multiple theaters resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths? It that not fanatical? You should reassess your heart, you're in need of a new one.

Most of the civilian casualties aren't even documented in a war. If you think the military you support invades a country and only kills the bad guys, you are watching too many hollywood movies.

There isn't a single war without innocent civilian casualties caused by every side. At least this is under the guise of accidental, some nations do it on purpose.

In what's happening today, it's not hard to identify who is killing tens of thousands of civilians indiscriminately.

Exactly. Hundreds of dead civilians. Nothing but hot air from NATO ,EU and the West in general.

No one claims there were no deaths. US-backed counter revolutions often involve violence, regardless of the self-restraint of the state being attacked. What exactly should the army do after several of its unarmed soldiers were killed by the “protesters”?

It's a shame that an escalation in civilian deaths is viewed as an evil, but that there are civilian deaths to escalate is viewed as a necessity of foreign policy.

Who has been unarmed exactly? In recent events I mean. Also, you are proving their point. The side who is killing the most civilians right now, in the past few months, is not at all considered to be evil by the USA.

Outrage over civilians being killed? Been there, done that. We knew ridiculous numbers of civilians were being killed, like, 10 or 20 news cycles ago. No one cares anymore.

Unfortunately the US is well-known for actually actively engaging civilians.

Whether or not that is an isolated incident is irrelevant. The US has a reputation for shooting civilians. The US media doesn't help either, often portraying soldiers shooting civilians even in fiction.

It's totally bonkers that soldiers are alright with killing hundreds of thousands of people and destroying whole cities without even flinching.

Thanks for sharing and I’m glad you and her are both okay. Well, who knows maybe somebody else ended up shooting her since the.

I can’t help but feel like you are blaming the victims. The bottom line is that those are civilians who were killed by US military. When the most powerful military in the world invades and occupies a country it can’t expect its people to fight according to its rules and expectations. And when those occupied people indeed fight back it does not justify the killing hundreds of thousands of civilians by the US military.

The difference is that hundreds of thousands or even millions of civilians aren't dead. Which is what would happen have happened if they truly made no distinction between civilians and military.

The only people killed where unarmed soldiers, that where burned alive by protesters.

Perpetual, pan-colonial war killing people almost at random from the sky without police or criminal justice due-process or a shred of HUMINT. It's viewed as acceptable because they're not Americans, so they're not human beings. And if you question it, you're dismissed as "just a lefty" because murdering people at random is apparently okay and good for the military-industrial complex economy.
