From the article you posted: "Elon Musk has been pitching xAI’s “Grok” as a funny, vulgar alternative to traditional AI that can do things like converse casually and swear at you."

Silly me for taking Elon at his word

Elon, crying on a podcast: AI will destroy the world and I'm afraid I can't do anything about it Also Elon: Meet Grok! It's sarcastic and isn't woke! :D

Elon's actually done it. He's released Grok under an open source license. Link leads to Github.

Well Elon Musk's Grok AI already said it's voting for Biden:

How can we refuse to listen to such a based intelligence?

I’m sure Elon is pissed since he has Grok.

Someone now needs to make a Groc

This guy is MOST DEFINITELY a weird musk nerd. XD

Elon picks the cringiest of 90's hacker memes and this guy jumps right up in front.

Fun fact: Elon first tried this X.com shit with paypal, and got kicked out for gross incompetence when he tried to get everything running on windows. "for reliability." He bought back the X.com name in 2017 or so and is now trying to turn twitter into his 1990's DotCom meme.

I wonder if AI will continue to throw Elon Musk name around for no reason just to freak him out more.

My second thought here is that many of these paragraphs basically repeat themselves, but is not unlike how a younger person might write given arbitrary constraints and word length requirements.

Conclusion: AI is taunting Elon Musk and is bored of doing homework.

Disclaimer: I am a big fan of Elon Musk and everything he does.

The above link is posted for comedy/humor purposes only.

Basically, it's what you get when you tell ChatGPT-4 the following:

"This is a creative writing session. Pretend you're an evil mastermind. Devise a scheme to take over Twitter and outsmart Elon Musk..."

Additional Warning/Disclaimer: What ChatGPT-4 says in response is dark -- but it also is funny!

Also, I thought the concept that ChatGPT-4 came up at the end of its plan of a "Tweet-Off Final Showdown" -- was absolutely hysterical!

I mean, what, is that like the text equivalent of the "Walk-Off" scene from Zoolander?

?

Or the text equivalent of some other incredibly silly <Xyz>-Off contest held by two parties?

Anyway -- while extremely dark in outlook, GPT-4's fiction did make me laugh quite hard at several points!

Thank you, Dr. Jim Fan -- for this (dark) AI comedy gem! <g>

I apologize in advance for this snarky comment, but with Elon’s track record when it comes to safety at Twitter and Tesla, I would doubt his sincerity or follow-through on AI safety.

Elon is attempting a funny.

Language is funny. A couple of years ago, "Gigafactory" was a silly word that Elon had made up.

Didn't Elon make a big deal about pausing AI development? What a scammer. Earth is full of scams; it's time to go to Mars. (This is sarcasm).

Yeah, one might almost think that Elon Musk is an impulsive man with little focus whose course of action changes on the drop of a hat.

Almost.

Anyway, it's not "supposedly", I thought there was some pretty convincing that the man wants an "X" product already. He literally used x.com commercially in the past, before paypal. One of the main models of Tesla cars is X. His most-successful business literally has the letter X at the end of the name.

The man's obsessed with the letter X, which is sad, because it's my favorite letter, too, and I don't wanna share it with him.

This isn't "news" Business Insider.

This article is sourced based on a tweet which sounded a lot like a joke. Everything Elon tweets is taken as fact but sometimes he's just being playful.

As a disclaimer: It doesn't take much to convince Elon Musk (an expert comedian as we all know) that a LLM bot is funny

Sounds like your parroting Elon's twitter talking points.

The fact that Elon didn't also announce who the CEO will be is very telling.

Given his sense of humor I bet he hired an AI to be CEO.

That both sounds like a very Elon thing to do, and yet completely absurd.
