Are you talking about Bing Chat, which cites actual web pages it used to make the summary, or ChatGPT, which is a very different beast and relies on built-in knowledge rather than searches?
In my experience, Bing is much worse than Chatgpt in terms of the subjects that it’s willing to discuss. Ultimately, it’s the chat limit that kills any excitement. It doesn’t remember me at all from conversation to conversation. It would be nice to have a HER.
I think one of the biggest differences is that ChatGPT is forced into a very reactive mode. It has basically zero initiative, and gets spooked by any question that might imply that it could make decisions or express opinions. In contrast, Bing is (was?) very proactive.
Is there any reason to use ChatGPT over Bing Chat? I haven't gotten too deep into the more extreme uses of this stuff, just asking occasional questions where google provides irrelevant results.
I don't get the point of Bing Chat. As a chat, it is not as good or knowledgeable as ChatGPT. As a search it is not as good as Google or even Bing. I don't know what I would use Bing Chat for.
My org forces ChatGPT to be used through Bing Chat when internal company data is involved. It’s an avalanche of popups, dialogues, links, “did you know”s, color and animations.
Quite unpleasant to use compared to just vanilla ChatGPT, which offers a zen-like experience in comparison.
