They also have an official "ChatGPT Classic" that turns off plugins including Bing.

Doesn’t ChatGPT bring that through plug-ins? Also bing chat

isn't Bing chat just some version of chatGPT4 with some extra moderation?

ChatGPT had a Browser Plugin (via the Plus subscription) but last I checked it was removed, (possibly because it cannibalized Bing? Or just the reliability issues).

Bing (which uses chatgpt) still does

Is that the same thing under the hood as Bing? Somehow I’ve found it insufferable compared to the “real” ChatGPT.

Same for Bing chat.

My org forces ChatGPT to be used through Bing Chat when internal company data is involved. It’s an avalanche of popups, dialogues, links, “did you know”s, color and animations.

Quite unpleasant to use compared to just vanilla ChatGPT, which offers a zen-like experience in comparison.

They need to not ask to use a Microsoft account to use Bing with chatgpt.

Bing chat is sometimes GPT4.

Have you tried Bing+ChatGPT?

As long as bing is still online, I'm fine. Chatgpt is basically useless for me since it can't actually look anything up and read docs.

Interesting, my experience with bing has been pretty positive. Chatgpt would be useless for me because it doesn't have any access to the internet.

This is not ChatGPT. Bing is using a new model called "Prometheus," which Microsoft claims is more powerful than ChatGPT.

Bing chat does this. But Chat GPT hasn't done this to me.

The article doesn't say they used Bing. It says ChatGPT.

That’s exactly what bing chat does.

My wife, who uses whatever default is offered unless I provide a compelling enough argument, said she'd actively switch to Bing if it incorporated ChatGPT even in its current form.

That's the big question I have: ChatGPT is way less likely to go into weird threat mode. Did Bing get completely different RLHF, or did they skip that step entirely?

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, Bing Chat leaves a bad taste in my mouth due to user agent restriction and other shitty behaviors, which I have no desire to work around.
