They got it in 1999, so were not subject to the new rules.

It was approved in 2001. They weren't as tight on this kind of nonsense back then.

They were exempt in the old law so I doubt that's changed

There’s got to be a bit more to the story if this has been happening since 1998.

Some recent law change?

It's not a new law.

Ah yes, it predates that law. It looks like there's a phasse-in period, during which certain rules apply, and then in 2029 new, slightly different rules apply. At a quick glance. I can't quite tell what the differences are, or why they need the 2029 changeover.

One of our subsidaries registered it before 2001, when there were no restrictions.

That rule was only implemented this year, so there is no data on that yet.

Ah! I didn't realize there was a newer law. It seems dumb :P

This has been law since 2007 and is not new news

This happened just at December 2013. So nope, their criteria, at least in the last months, has not changed.

The last year or decade are irrelevant in terms of the law.

It does not apply retroactively.

Well the original law is from 1996. And read the document before making any other comments because it’s clear you haven’t yet read it. It reasserts what is allowed under an existing law from 1996

This should have a (2003) on the title. This exemption expired three years later, and does not appear to still be in effect.

Yep no longer applies, 5 years late

Sadly, no. It was repealed in 1999.

Since when was this restriction imposed ?

That's a recent law so it shouldn't apply to this timeperiod.

They removed that clause recently, I believe.
