I don't think I would drive that with any other cars on the road. Hopefully there is a safety package.

Jesus, I wouldn't feel safe driving that thing.

And not human friendly neither, don't want to be involved in an accident with such a car

Very cool! However, I would be concerned about the safety of driving such a small car.

Safest and fastest seem possible, but I'm rather doubting its off road capabilities. Unless of course being capable of driving off road isn't something we expect from an SUV these days.

I don’t think anyone would mind if the vehicle was being driven on private roads

It's only available in a small handful of cars and only works on certain roads. I have no doubt that one of these super-cruisers will be surprised by something and crash into it once they start racking up miles. Driving is dangerous.

It wouldn't need to be able to safely drive itself, just safely pull over.

Don't know if that would even be street legal in the states.

It's not a safe car by any modern means, we got it for drives on the weekend. It only has a lap belt and no power brakes, but it's fun to drive :-)

I wouldn't trust anyone crazy enough to build this contraption to evaluate how safe it is. I mean, it's probably fine for him, but you wouldn't want your [stereotypical poor driver of choice] to be driving it on a wet day.

Sounds good to me, but I don't think that such cars are legal in the US any more.

This is awesome. But nobody’s going to buy it if they have to drive it sharing the road with hulking SUVs. It’s nearly as dangerous as a motorcycle simply because it is so small and light. The only advantage is protection from the weather.

I would also buy it, but strictly only for city driving where safety concerns aren't nearly as big of a deal.

And yes, it's going to be safer than a motorcycle anywhere outside a highway.

As long as it doesn't have a start button either, it might even be safe enough for other people on the road.

I love the look of this thing and I'd love to own one. Unfortunately I live in America and there are very few places that I'd actually feel safe driving one of these. I live in Austin, TX and I wouldn't risk my life on the road in something like this. I wish it wasn't that way but unfortunately it is.

Not on public roads.

Not on public roads.

It'll be interesting to see how they can sell this as anything other than a kit car. Kit cars do not get held to the same standards as a manufactured vehicle, but you have to put it together or pay a shop to do it. Plus, you know, they are pretty deadly in accidents.

"I also doubt that it will have no manual control mode, so it shouldn't an issue regardless."

Could they even legally sell a vehicle with no human control right now?
