He's not gonna get a visa for the US.

sort by: page size:

He's not a US citizen.

He's evading a US lawsuit. He doesn't want to go back to the US.

He is not a US citizen.

He doesn't have any leverage, that's the point of his visa.

Unfortunately, he's not trying to vote, raise children in the US, or earn money. He just wanted to tell people how to write better software (conference speaker) and his non-immigrant visa is apparently not forthcoming.

He's an American citizen so he can't be denied entry.

He wasn't denied a visitor visa, he's been banned for life and that can't be overturned. Quite different. He also has a girlfriend in the US, so that's over for him. That's life changing.

BTW, he doesn't exactly need a visa, he was on an ESTA.

He probably does not need a visa (that's the case if one has a biometric passport)

Also, he's not a US citizen.

(Edit: error on my part. His passport was revoked, which is what I was citing, but apparently he remains a citizen.)

he said he is not american neither US resident

This doesn't appear to be true.

> In 2015, he was denied a visa to reenter the United States by the U.S. Embassy in Barbados, which claimed that he had not sufficiently proven ties outside of the United States that would motivate him to leave at the end of his visit, causing fears he might become an illegal immigrant.[8][7][9] Later in the same year his visa was approved by the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, and he visited the United States in June 2016 to speak at a conference in Denver, Colorado.[10][6]

Wouldn't he not be given a visa in the first place if he was such a suspect?

He's not in the US

But he doesn't have a choice. The USA will not let him in regardless, so saying he won't ever return is a rather moot point. If he was let in to the country and then decided this it would have a much different perspective. He is likely not pleased that he can't get back in he states and thus it is more than likely the OP is not telling the whole truth.

That's not the issue; of course he's not allowed. The problem is whether the US would give him asylum.

No, he said he would not mind coming to the US in a comment.

He's a citizen, so denied entry would be pretty curious.

And lack of higher education and professional experience makes him ineligible for any kind of visa.

> Your best bet is to go to another country and start from scratch where you will not have any "sex offender" hindrances

Is he just not going to apply for a visa?
