What leads you to believe that it's a fairly simple change?

Why with a specifically simple change?

I believe it only takes a few changes to make sufficient difference. Changes that are already in action.

But it's such a trivial change...! What could go wrong?

Indeed! This is what happens when you change something. It will be interesting to see if in the long term people feel that it's simple.

It says that change is easier than it might seem.

A “simple” change can still require major effort to evaluate. Bogus logic on their part.

It seems a bit like that Kent Beck quote, "make the change easy (warning: this may be hard), then make the easy change."

It's easy to imagine changes being made by folks who don't truly understand what's going on, being made on top of changes that were made by folks who didn't truly understand what's going on.

I've seen this expressed as "make the change easy; then make the easy change"

I don't know what assumptions/mindset you'd have to start with to think it's a great change. You simply get less information.

IMO, These changes does not look that simple.

So how does change happen?

Any comments on how easy or hard the change would be are.

What sort of change?

There are ALWAYS changes. I can't (or don't) believe anyone actually really believes it when that is stated.

As Kent Beck says [0]: "for each desired change, make the change easy (warning: this may be hard), then make the easy change"

Well said. Changing it is easy, actually making it better is rather tricky.

Changing how? And why?

Why is the change needed?
