I'm running an i7700k and a GTX1070 on a rig that was built in 2016. It's fine. Not the most performant thing that's ever been run on my machine, but it's perfectly playable. I had some stuttering issues during the first week or two but have not had any significant problems for quite some time.
My attempt to run it with the my VS 2022 dev console and a newly downloaded CUDA installation ended in flames as the compilation stopped with "error limit reached", followed by it defaulting to a CPU run.
It does run on the CPU though, so at least that's pretty cool.
Tried it a couple of months ago, and it ran like ass. Could be due to older hardware? Serving PC is core 2 duo 6850, and htpc it was playing on is core 2 duo 6400. Wired fast ethernet connection.
Runs OK on my Surface Pro 2. Core i5, Intel GMA, 4GB of shared RAM.
There were some places where the framerate dropped but they were the more complex demos. The fan kicked in almost immediately though. In general, even if the framerate was low it was stable.
Interestingly IE11 seemed to render almost as well as Chrome and I didn't notice a speed difference. I guess that's what happens if you offload work to the GPU.
