There's a list here: https://old.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/13x9sy7/now_that...

Note that all of these are still centralized, so still subjects to similar issues. Once again selfhosting is the best xay forward

Goodbye, Reddit.

127.0.0.1 www.reddit.com

They recently announced that this is going to be archived and no longer receive updates.

I am almost unwilling to advertise this, out of fear that they might disable it if it gains a lot of traffic.

But... reddit has older versions still online.

Desktop: old.reddit.com

Mobile: reddit.com/.compact

In fact you can just append the '.compact' to any reddit link on mobile and it will render it more sanely.

The day either of these features get disabled, is the day I will stop using the platform.

edit: typo

Still accessible here: https://www.reddit.com/.mobile

I wish that there was a third party web-app that would be similar to https://old.reddit.com and https://ns.reddit.com without the bugging... and maybe combine it's own service with reddit. And eventually drop reddit....

https://i.reddit.com/ and https://old.reddit.com still work - when they don't I'll likely stop using reddit entirely.

I won't install the app and the mobile experience is broken.

Which is a shame since I've used it for 14 years.

FYI the new website is down (http://new.reddit.com) but the old website is still up (http://old.reddit.com).

As others have stated, http://status.reddit.com will display uptime stats.

Not news, but Reddit: https://i.reddit.com/

Much faster to load than the current Reddit website. How long it will remain active is anyone's guess.

Reddit was archived by PushShift, which was killed along the API changes. Nevertheless the archives remained online. https://the-eye.eu/redarcs/

Relevant historical note: That's how Reddit started. In the beginning, it was just Reddit. Not much different from HN. Then they added subreddits, and what was reddit became /r/Reddit.com until they closed it.

Well, i.reddit.com is for mobiles.

For desktops, use https://old.reddit.com

also worth checking out: https://old.reddit.com/r/bbs/

This is why I use old.reddit.com, or the compact version ( https://reddit.com/.compact )

rif is what i use on mobile. once old.reddit.com goes away then i'll be officially shutdown also. :D

Subreddits closing doors 24h isn't enougn imo. Hopefully it will work.
